Press Release – Show down of the year.
The Husqvarna Motorcycles Wildwood Rock Extreme is set to deliver the Enduro of the year in what is Australia’s most talked about off-road event.
Adding to the International flavour that Wildwood delivers is French Factory Husqvarna rider Mathias Bellino and Factory New Zealand Sherco Brothers Hamish and Angus Macdonald. With a Pro class already filled with Australia’s best extreme riders in Daniel Sanders, Mitch Harper, Broc Grabham, Tim Coleman, Robert Nowak and Chris Perry just to name a few you have a mix of past Wildwood Winners and Australian International Extreme event Riders in the group.
With 100 Riders set to be a part of the 2016 event each class is very competitive and will be hard to pick a winner. Joining the eight Women on the track is multi World Champion Jess Gardiner who has just returned from the International Six day where Jess and her team mates won the Women’s Gold. But all eyes will be heavily focused on The Factory KTM star Daniel “Chucky’ Sanders the raining Wildwood Champion from 2015 who has a floorless year on his KTM300 winning the E3 class at the Six day and taking the outright win for the Australia Off-road championship
The Track for this year is the freshes riders have seen, we have set the goal to make this year the hardest track of all past years gone by. This week sees an extra 150 ton of rocks added and plenty of logs pointing in all directions. The swinging tyre house has been transformed as the Hard Enduro Parts Pine forest and the Sunbury Bakers delight Wooden Matrix has seen a 1 meter high log added to test the best. With so many new objects for riders you will have to attend to see the action and how they tackle the course.
Prologue from 9am and the main 3 hour event will kick off from 11am.
We have a large amount of food and display stalls around the prologue area and a big Red bus shuttling spectators down to the Beta Rock Garden. The first 1000 people through the gate will get a free raffle ticket to go into the draw to win some sponsor prizes on the day.
Be sure to come past the Merchandise tent to hand in your raffle tickets at the start of the day.
Entry prices – Adults $20 10-16yrs $10 and kids under 10’s are Free for a great family day.
